About Niki Niki Burnham is the author of six full-length novels for teens—Royally Jacked, Spin Control, Sticky Fingers, Scary Beautiful, Do-Over, and Goddess Games. She is also the author of six romance novels, all written under the name Nicole Burnham. In 2004, her third romance novel, The Knight's Kiss, won the RITA award, the highest honor given to works of romantic fiction. Her debut title for teens, Royally Jacked, was named a Teen People Pick. Niki is originally from Colorado. However, as the daughter of an Army dentist, she has lived all over the world, graduating from Mannheim American High School in Mannheim, Germany. She received her BA in Political Science magna cum laude from Colorado State University, then both a MA in Political Science and her JD from the University of Michigan. Career Highlights 2007: Niki's first original hardcover title, Goddess Games, is released by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. 2006: Niki is featured on the syndicated show Daytime. 2005: Niki is a RITA finalist for the second time with her romance novel The Bowen Bride, written as Nicole Burnham. 2005: Royally Jacked is named to the New York Public Library's Books for the Teen Age list of recommended reads. 2004: Niki's romance title One Bachelor to Go, written as Nicole Burnham, spends two weeks on the Waldenbooks bestseller list. 2004: Niki's debut title for teens, Royally Jacked, is named an ALA Quick Pick for Reluctant Young Readers and is featured in Teen People as a Teen People Pick. 2004: Niki wins the RITA—the highest award given to a work of romance fiction—for The Knight's Kiss, a romance novel written under the name Nicole Burnham. 2001: Niki's debut novel, a romance written as Nicole Burnham, is released in December.
